RFinity transforms your cell phone into a security-enabled transaction device capable
of providing a unique, one-time-use number for every transaction. First, RFinity
verifies incoming RF signals and won’t take any responsive action without a user’s
approval, thus preventing malicious attacks.
And it protects consumers by encrypting the information transferred between consumers
and sellers and by changing the identifier information after each transaction. It’s
like being issued a new credit card number before making a purchase and then having
that number disabled as you leave the store.
And while convenient to use, it is more secure than cash or a credit card because
if your phone is lost or stolen, it can’t be used by anyone
but you.
Knowing that cyber criminals—when they find that cracking encryption too challenging—focus
on other system vulnerabilities, RFinity created this full arsenal of security gates
that assure the system is disabled when its owner is not authorizing its use:
- Integrated firewall features eliminate vulnerability to integrated circuit card
attacks.
- Supporting network authenticates the phone, the card, and the user.
- Customer confirms transactions (PIN could be used if customer or issuer prefers).
- System can notify user if phone or card has been tampered with.
- If the device were cloned, the supporting network could not allow two identical
devices to be supported at once and subscribing user would be notified.
- On-the-fly re-keying capability for broken, lost, or stolen phones.

RFinity’s plug-n-play microSD card can be inserted into virtually any cell phone
equipped with a microSD card port. The card holds the secure features of RFinity
technology: a cryptographic processor, hardware-isolated memory, standard storage
memory, and a radio frequency transponder. All four of these components work interdependently
to:
- Authenticate user’s identity and their cell phone identity
- Produce a one-time transaction identifier
- Perform a strong industry standard encryption.
